Is there a better two bike combo in the garage than:

1- KTM 790 Adventure S - Touring, commuting, gravel, 2 track, camping, luggage, pillion. Mosko BC 35's for the dirty chores, aluminum panniers for the commuting.
    Thumb.aspx.jpeg

2- KTM/Husqvarna 500/501 street legal - 'Light' Adventure, BDR's, single-track, grocery grabber. Mosko Reckless 40 for the day trips, quick n dirty overnighters.

If I could only have 2 bikes I would buy a Super Enduro.

    2 790’s. Both hooked up.
One for after you wear out the first.

I like these threads. As for me, my bikes are old and simple. I love them! To each his own, there is no wrong answer.

I had my 07 950 Super Enduro and 07 450 XC (last of the RFS motors) for a few years. Sold the 450 to a friend but feel like i'm missing out on another lightweight bike again.

Probably will look for a 450/500 later this fall and see what I can find.

currently I have the 950 SE and a 1290 Super Duke R. Pretty good combo there. I can ride the 950 on single track and DS rides, and then the 1290 for street and track use.

I often find myself contemplating a smaller sibling for my SE.
I have two sets of rims for the Allmighty, so it is quite usefull from knee-down shit on tarmac to the local extreme enduro track. Obviously, I doubt should it be called extreme if one can drive a SE trough it and have fun doing it.
Anyhow. That is my SE's usefull range. I still sort of hope to find something to go deeper in the technical end of the enduro pool. Watching Crosstraining enduro skills and such videos on youtube make me want to get a 480 Beta, then I look out the window and realize there is about 10 enduro tracks nearby and non of them gets really tricky with the SE. So a actual enduro bike would be boring.
So, every other week it is a Beta 480rr and every other I find my self checking ads for cheep trials bikes.
And now that I've managed to form my feelings in written form, I see in the logical level, I should get a trials bike, since there is a quite nice track near by.
Then again, I really liked the Beta....
Having too many bikes I don't like. Having unridden stuff laying in the corner of the shed feels wastefull.

It's not that I don't like them, they just don't have much of a purpose in my life anymore.

XR400 - I never ride it now, I kept it as a buddy bike after I got the 530 but all my buddies now have bikes. It taught probably a dozen people how to ride during the time I owned it.

CBR1100XX - sits in the garage, as the 990ADV takes me more places than the XX could. Not nearly as rapidly, though.

GasGas FSE450SM - I moved too far away from the track, it only gets moved around to get stuff stored behind it. I should plate it and use it to get groceries.

Maybe I should let them go.
