Former 3 time GS owner. Drank the DL kool-aid.
Just think, for the cost of 3 GS, you could have had 9 Vstroms and done the same things.
My V-Strom parked up for lunch.

Are each of those motorcycles reputations well deserved?
I truly enjoyed my 1150GS. For some odd reason I just never clicked with my 1200. And the older I got, the bigger they felt. I moved to Tigers. Love the engine. Triumph triples are my favorite power plant. I have nothing bad to say about the Tiger, however it’s ergonomics really messed with my neck and shoulders. I couldn’t seem to fix it so I let it go. Otherwise I’d probably still be riding it. My first Vstrom was one of the most comfortable bikes I ever owned so when I sold the Tiger I bought a leftover 2018. Very happy with my decision so far.
From a recent trip, report here:
Like to get a new one myself. The L2 is nice but the L7 + are nicer.
From my recent ride from Melbourne to Uluru to Broome, to Perth and home to Melbourne.
What's going on middo ? Not getting enough praise on Netrider
Haha. I thought I'd share some of the pics with a different audience. Obviously not as different as I thought.
All good middo , just jealous . Great trip . From experience though , I reckon you need twice as much time to do that loop to really see and enjoy it .
Again , thanks for sharing
