Yes, I meant to add that typically the format this trip has been to stop for fuel towards the end of the afternoon, and buy a few groceries - typically cold meats, cheese, bread/bagels that sort of thing... then we can eat that in the evening and any left overs for breakfast the following morning along with a Clif bar or similar.

I have a small stuff-sack backpack with me (it rolls up to the size of a fist), which I can use to carry my groceries to camp, and the trash away in the morning - to be disposed of at the next town/fuel stop - which is far more comfortable than wearing a back pack the whole time (especially in this summer heat)... my Coyote is pretty much stuffed full already you see, with just enough room for my 2L water bag when filled.

It’s all working well so far!

Beautiful landscape. Surprised to see snow in July, looks very Alpine. Plan your flight and fly your plan, nothing you can do about nature.

Just checking in from Pueblo CO - we finally crossed the Continental Divide today, then spent the afternoon exhausting ourselves trying to going over Hayden Pass the hard(er) way... spoiler alert, we managed it!

photo. Hayden Pass (west face) - it might not look that steep, but trust me it is, and loose and rocky, and here we’re at approximately 10,000ft with another 700ft to go.. oh, and it had just started raining again too!

I’ve been banking loads of photos for my detailed ride report to compliment Juan’s (almost) daily video episodes - and I’m really looking forward to giving you a blow by blow account of the past few days particularly - pioneering some new ‘connector’ sections between the established TAT BDR routes, and messing around on a few of the more challenging trails and passes in Utah and Colorado.

We’ve now left the mountains behind for the time being (don’t worry, we’ll be back in Colorado early next week after the ACCA event near Wichita KS this coming weekend...

And as a special ‘treat’ for anyone following along on the Blancolirio YouTube channel and/or also subscribe to the Giant Loop YouTube channel - Juan and I will be taking part in a live link-up Q&A session tomorrow evening (8pm PCT, Wednesday 15th July) with Harold from Giant Loop, as part of his monthly ‘garage night’ interviews - link here:

I hope you can join us - virtually at least - and we’ll do our best to answer any questions about the trip so far, our bikes, our gear, and what is in store for the return leg back west... and I’ll do my best not to curse on air of course!

photo. The ‘media machine’ hard at work wherever he can find a phone signal... this store offered so much promise, unfortunately it was Tuesday today.

    More soon!

From the picture above....I could be wrong but it looks like "The media machine" has a electrical cord plugged in his A**. If so is that option available thru RR?

Taklamakan desert near Mongolia, I thought the same as Juan in the video. This was last year on a flight to Amsterdam.
