And have @troy safari carpente reindeer have stopped delivering data what with the "crisp" weather that seems to be trending?

I was curious if you can break traction when riding with hob nails (or whatever they call those spikes they use in tyres)? When you fall off on ice how do you stop sliding?

Life's little mysteries eh.... Stuff at least I don't have to experience. :vardy

On the mx tracks (dutch style euro sand) and cross country special test track(open grassy trails/light Woods on sand/soil Composite) track we have here, using spiked motocross tires (80/100 21" front - 110/90 19" rear) on crisp dry (-1 to -10 degrees) permafrost/sand - like we have now - is like riding a circular power saw across damp two inch thick pineboard.... awesome grip... once the sand "crust" is broken up.

On a frozen lake... the grip - while ever you are pointed in the direction you want to go and apply the gas appropriately... is also very good... but if it "steps out" and slides... it will usually result in one of two outcomes - it will either "spin up" (low sider)... or "catch" (high sider) - that latter of whioch are often quite spectacular as the snow and steam fly...!

... and yes... if you slide... you can slide a long way... it is also fun seeing a voilent spinning rear Mitas spiked knobbie chasing you across the ice... :eekers:vardy

You ridden one of those tracked thingys? Can't remember what they're called, timber wolf maybe, track on the rear, ski on the front iirc.

So, are you getting the cold spell or enjoying the spike in warmth they're reporting up towards the pole?

Shifting sheds... actually... since the 15th - every waking moment, when not at work (which is where I do most of my sleeping anyway, mouse reckons) I have spent shifting digs.

Should be finished around the end of march I reckon...

You can never have too much crap. That's just an indication your shed is too small
