    Hi Eric
You, Tharina and the Peanut rock big time. I have read all your reports up till this one and I am now going to read the Zambian trip.
Luckily for you there are not that many South Africans on this forum because if there were more you would be voted in as our new President man.
Lekker to see a fellow South African enlighten the rest of the world how good it is down here in Southern Africa.
Looking forward to reading more of your trips.
    Cheers
    Peter

After no traffic for a year, this RR resurfaces. That's OK though, because it is my favorite RR of all time. It motivated my wife to start riding, and convinced her that you can in fact ride with kids. It motivated us to start doing some adventuring of our own. And it provided me with hours of entertainment while sitting in the desert two years ago, which ironically, is the same desert that I'm in right now. I've got nothing to do for the next few hours. I'm reading this one again! :D

Have read this RR twice now, once early last year and now again. Difference for me is that I did a similar trip in April, May this year. We also camped at Epupa Falls, did Van Zyl's Pass and camped at Camp Syncro.
Was great to recognize some of the places in your photo's.
Having ridden many of those routes consisting of sand and or rocks I can only say that Tharina is an excellent rider.
    Well done.

Awesome report. I was in Namibia, Lesotho and SA late last year. Everytime I saw an ADV bike go by I wished I had my KTM with me.

I ate at the Napolitana in Swakop. Great pizza and probably the best service in the whole country. :D

It's cold, snowing, windy, been outside for the 4th time today to shovel what has got to be the heaviest snow I've shovelled in 30 years and then I come in to rest and read this Ride Report which teleports me to new countries, a great family and a wonderful adventure...what a great way to end the Day!
Thank to you and the family for taking the time to share your adventure. It makes winter a little more bearable till the next Spring and new Rides :)
