Cool mag article. Glad you are getting so much coverage from foreign writers and readers. I'm already reading the ride report again from "cover to cover". Just too much to take in with only one reading. I am amazed at the level of chopperdom in Japan. I would have never thought. Well done Doug.
Friggin! Cool Man!
That guy translated a big ass article! Would love to see a version in English...
he's just been takin it from my webpage www.motosapiens.org
its basically the same as what I put on here, but without all the comments from everyone.
If y'all want, I can scan the articles from The Horse also, but I figure as thats a US mag, there may not be much interest on here to see them.
My Japan article will be in the next Horse issue, with choppers, shims, & all that lovely Japanese culture
supposedly my trip's gonna start showin up in Italy & Japan soon, & maybe Germany
for the "Horse" article :
we are not all from the good ol' US of A - so a few might be interested.
keep up the good work
Hey Doug, Where can I get some patches sewn on my duffle bag like you did? Thanks.
needle & a spool of thread doesnt take up much room.
Here's another way to see your, or anyone's, ride report without having to read through everyone else's comments:
can't wait to see what's next in your travels, Doug. This one sure was good.
Followed your rtw trip last year daily and enjoyed it immensly. I bet you got a lot more satisfaction from doing it on a bike you built yourself than taking an easier option.
You mentioned Balkan tours, are these off-road? Is is getting harder all the time to go off-road in Western Europe (legitimately), especially in the UK. With budget airlines flying to Sofia, this could well be an attractive holiday. I for one would be interested in seeing the more remote parts of this region.
Its been a while since I got the chance to catch up with this ride report. Glad to see your doind so well and have lots of plans in the making. Keep up the good work. Very nice articles by the way.
My good friend Charlie from Nis, Serbia was in a bike wreck yesterday. As of now, he has a broken back & cant feel his legs, but goes into surgery monday. I know most of you guys dont know him, except for when I visit him & talk about it here . Please keep him in your thoughts, he's a great guy.
He will be in our thoughts.
Healing light and energy to him and his family.
Sucks to hear about it, hope he´ll be fine!
Why don´t they get him into surgery NOW?
Poor Charlie, I'll be thinking of him, Doug and hope he makes a good recovery.
<BR>I sure hope your friend pulls through ok, Doug, and keeps the use of his legs.
I know your friend is on all our thoughts, get well soon.
Old school rulz!Thanks Doug,This summer i,ll be in Bulgaria at your bikers retreat...first beer(the second,the third...the last)is on me!
RRs like this one make me feel that the longest trip I have made (abroad or not) is like going from home to work.
Thanks for sharing it with us, I really don't know what to wish you for your future plans. Your trip around the world does not leave me much left to say...!!
