This was a great read, kept my "extra time" at night busy for the last 2 weeks. I appreciate all the bike and scooter and of course the women of the world on your shoulders. Good to read about an adventurer who can venture out on his own and make it around the world.

Nice touch of brass knuckles on the chopper. :lurk

    Prayers for Charlie for recovery..

I talked to Charlies girlfriend Ljubica, & she said the surgery went well. the nerves arent broken, but they are damaged.
With time, exercise, & therapy, he should be ok.:clap

I look forward to visiting them in May.
Charlie is one of the first guys I met while travelling in europe, & he & Ljubica are like family to me. I always spend time with them whenever I can.
Its sort of funny, as his english is about as good as my serbian, but Ljubica is an english teacher at a high school, so she gets stuck translating everything for us.
    :lol3

Thanks again for everyones good thoughts & wishes

Thanks for the trip Doug! I've been picking my way through this for the last couple days. Been chasing my kids around, read a page or two, fix the car, read a page or two, look for a job, read a page or two, you get the idea. Anyhow, it's well after midnight (again) :snore and I'm finally through it. Thanks a lot! I'm not the kind of guy to hang with the kind of folks you do, but it was an experience to see how a biker redneck would do a RTW trip. Take care a stay safe!

I finally got my interview from the Bulgarian television show posted, in case anyone wants to see it.
its in 2 parts, as it was about 20 minutes long.
It was ok, but during the pre interview, they went thru a bunch of questions Slavi was going to ask me, so I would be prepared.
Well, when I got on there, he never asked me any of the stuff they had planned on, so I just had to wing it.
It was fun tho, as afterwards, almost the whole country knew who I was (the show has 3-4 million viewers) so I'd be riding along & have people take my picture, and everytime I was at a store or something people would look & point at me. I was almost famous for a week.

Doug, I've followed your journey from the beginning and enjoyed it. I couldn't understand much of the Host's dialog, but the Interpreter's body language seemed to tell a different story about their relationship than what I thought He said. It would have been great if you had fired-up that Hog and ridden off stage with her on the back!

What an experience! What a great ride report! Keep it up!

Thanks for (finally) sharing the videos with us. I also think that you should have fired your bike during the TV show, although I very doubt that it would have been noticed, considering the amount of decibels constantly pouring from that bald man's mouth :rofl

Those videos were pretty cool, thanks for posting! I'll have to share them with the Alabama side of my family. They'll never believe a guy from Alabama was on a Bulgarian TV show. :lol3
