I have a warp 9 rear wheel with one broken spoke. The OEM spoke is is lighter and smaller diameter. How can I get just one warp 9 rear left side spoke?
Yes I have emailed, didn't get an answer from them yet but see no options offered other than buying a full set. Thx.
Warp 9 replied and they are sending me some spokes. Excellent customer service.

I have been working on another mod / addition for the XR ...
Wanted to have a speedometer on it ... I see pretty much everyone goes with digital which I also like, although in this particular case my desire was going old school analog.
Following the logic, I came up to the conclusion that many of the Japanese dual purpose / off road bikes with a pick up gear from the front 21" wheel might be similar, hence on the hunt for my speedo!
I really like the round style then shoot for a Suzuki DR650 one ...
Knurled nut attachment to the speedo connection: MATCH
Cable square end: MATCH
Light: not concerned for now although at the time of modifying / adding a street legal kit , power can be sourced for it.
Honda original bracket holding the trip meter ... made a little modification and attached the instrument to it without much fuss.
Today started the bike and when for a spin for testing and it works. Next time out in the open will use the GPS to see accuracy. Will report.
Maybe after my test somebody wants to add it to the XR thread to be shared.
I'd be happy to add it to the XR400 Index, ADV's own special XR4 liberry. Let us know how it turns out.
And I'll do the mod on my own bike.

I've been running this setup on my bike for a few years. I'm on my third speedo because one broke somehow, and one broke in a crash. Mine is a Baja Designs and the speed is pretty spot on as is the odometer and trip-meter compared to my GPS.
I'm also running a Tac/Hour meter next to it.
Uhhhhhh I like it! now you are making me think about the RPM counter .... darn!
You might also want to mount the speedo higher up. I put some spacers on mine for about an inch of lift so I can see it better and get to the trip meter easier. It's nice to see what RPM's are at higher speeds, and the hour meter is nice too.
My Baja gearing is 15/43 and I leave that on the bike most of the time.. Sometimes I swap to a 14T up front.
I have spent some time checking my rpm’s with my GPS
50mph @ 5000rpm
55mph @ 5500rpm
60mph @ 6000rpm
Bike seems happy at the 5k-5400 range..
Regarding higher up I see you are right, noticed that could be tricky to handle the trip meter / visual.
That's really good info. I usually on all my other bikes, look more at the RPM's than speedo.
For now I am still riding on the stock gearing ... I know that for tech trails might be a bit fast hence need to work on that.

I second that, I run 15/40 and my experience is basically the same, at 5-5,5k rpm the engine is in fact happy, low vibrations, and you can easily accelerate for overtaking. 60 mph is roughly 5800 rpm in my case.
Speed limit here is 90 kmh, so most of the time I can keep the rpm below 5500, which means casual travelling is very fuel efficient, about 4 litres/100 km.
I'll third that. I just slapped a 16T on the front to gear up a little from 15. I have 42 on the back, so very close to 15/40.
Seems much better on the street, and got up my steep drive from a standstill with no issues. Might be a better compromise for dual sporting, as I find 15/42 a bit too buzzy at speeds above 90km/h.
I had to cheat a little on the chain adjust - I'm running off the end of the snails which is not ideal.
I'm considering going even further to 40T on the back - 16/40 for long road stints, and carrying a 13T to swap out when I need it. I found 13/42 was good for snotty stuff.
Yeah, I remember when I changed the chain and sprockets I had to shorten the new chain quite a bit. Not really an issue for me, since I don't have a second wheel set with enduro tires to change back and forth. I still have the old chain and the large 49 teeth sprocket too if I would change my mind So now I have it set around the 15 mark on the adjuster.

Yup. The CB400SS street scrambler (based on the XR400) runs quite high gearing.
15/35 with 18" wheels and an almost identical final drive and 5th gear ratio... and that thing is detuned with a porky 153kg wet weight.
A little more progress ...
From my shelf of spares snatched a couple of BMW plate holders, I understand might be overkill although wanted to have the reflectors. Not planning on riding much on the streets but the law is always watching!
Cut the reflectors to make it fit closer to the fender.
