TW200 is no where even close to redline at 55 - 60 mph. 10,200 rpm is max.......I do not believe the TW200 could ever reach its max redline. Plus, with tubed tires , it may prove a bad decision to try. Ride on

Tires with tubes are not a problem at any speed.
I have had bikes with tubes in the tires over 120 mph.

55 mph used to be the speed limit and cars had marking on the speedometer to that effect.
I think its a holdover from the 80's and they can not change it without re certifying the bike....

I put the copper elbow on mine. It will do 75mph 2 up no tuck. I keep breaking chains and shredding the rear tire though. I might have to take it off.

I have Seat Concepts on my 2 TW's and I like them.
They make a standard and a tall version in a choice of fabrics.
I got one with the gripper top and one without, I like the gripper much better.

I agree with that, but I don't like the stock tires at higher speeds anyway. The 203/204 combo feel much more secure when you reach speeds over 50 on the asphalt and they do a decent job off road if you avoid the mud.

Yeah. You put a copper elbow pointing down on the tip of the muffler. Something to do with back pressure and scavenging. It is a legend that got started on another forum. It is rumored to add up to 15hp and free up the transmission so it will shift into sixth gear. You have to be careful with the throttle. Too much at once and the exhaust (pointing down) will lift the rear up. This will only add to the tire shredding faster. Use at your own risk.

Damn, sorry to hear. I hit a cow on my DR650 a few weeks ago and it hasn't been a fun process. I'm hoping you heal quickly.

    The tw is fine.
Broke my other clavicle and have internal bleeding. Hurt my back as well.
I was knocked out in the crash, for like 5 minutes, but rode the bike home.
Got a huge deep burn on my leg.
I was riding with a friend Frank in bass river, about 120 miles…
Think I am done with dirt riding, I bust up too easy…
