Theotherwife and I left thursday morning for the cromag rally in vt

Picked up the crew in orange and headed out to greenfield to catch the PDR
    [IMG]

we had a slight detour to navigate around
    [IMG]

and just in time to follow the honey wagon
    [IMG]

I found a go around on the garmin , that turned out to turn into 2 track
    [IMG]
which wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't loaded up for 4 days of camping

theotherwife had an encounter with gravity
    [IMG]
but by the time Larry got back to give her a hand, a couple of locals came out of the woods to give her a hand , then promptly dissapeared back into the forest.

then there was the gravity troll that came out of nowhere

not too bad all in all, just a busted top box reflector and a few minor scratches

then we headed for some lunch at the DAM diner
    [IMG]

the rest of the ride was fairly uneventful ,

made it in time to snag a lean to
    [IMG]
    and got set up

a little taste of the local flavor

then some sweet and spicy chicken for dinner
    [IMG]

the camp fire was tame and relaxing

made some plans for the next days ride

    208 miles for the day

    FRIDAY

we headed out to follow Miss Liz around for the locals tour of the gaps
    [IMG]

    but not before breakfast

A quick break at the top of the app gap

stopped of for some supplies on the way back
    [IMG]

friday night was shower night weather you need one or not , and I did .

I put in my quarters and turned the water on , and waited , and waited for it to get hot , maybe I did it wrong, so I added 2 more quarters , nothing .
I end up doing the hokey pokey routine , put this part in , then that part in as the water was freezing, after the boys had crawled back up inside and all I could think of was george from seinfeld screaming about being in the pool, I moved the shower curtain to discover a second water knob practically on the outside of the shower, so I start all over agin only with hot water this time .

250 ish miles for the day

    SATURDAY

we convinced pwrcrzr and crew to let us tag along for the day , I had put in a route that I laid out on map source , but made no garentee of its quality or accuracy , we first headed , where else, breakfast

I took the lead after breakfast and the first turn onto dirt we were supposed to take , just wasn;t there , so I hammered it up rt 12a to try to catch the purple line again , after several mines of pavement I could see them getting anxious behind me so I sped up to get to the dirt to try to redeem myslef on route choice

and we found some decent dirt

    Oh and some mud
    [IMG]

I went through it as I didn't have the chance to see the go around like the others

Dave was thrilled that theotherwife took the go around so he wouldn;t have to go through the swill

we turned up another 2 track that got progressively nastier but showed that it went through, so we pressed on

    And exhausting

stopped after lunch for some local cheese and some heavy petting

the dirt twisties were fun after lunch

the sceenery was like that off a postcard
    [IMG]

    and worth taking pictures of
    [IMG]

it wouldn;t be a day of riding with out some trailside repairs

    or encounters with gravity

we ended up with 150 ish miles but mostly all dirt of one flavor or another

the big social event was saturday night with a BBQ and ofcourse a bon fire
    [IMG]

nothing like roasting a marshmellow and getting a sun burn at the same time

we wouldn't want any wood left over the next day

the pics are blury from the heatwaves
    [IMG]

We made no set plans for the ride home and took our time getting up and packing , we meandered our way back down the pdr to greenfield

and by the way this road did go through

the wether was awesome, no rain , the company was fun and entertaining , we had a good time for sure, can;t wait til next year .

Thanks to all that organized the event and to all that we rode with, talked with, ate with , and laughed with .

    until next time
