Did a ride to Cobar from Adelaide then along the bitumen to Broken Hill and Wentworth and along the Old Mail Rd outside of Mildura to Renmark in the Riverland to see my father with a scoot along Pipeline Rd back to Adelaide. Took me 5 days and was a precursor to a ride to Cairns and back so I could see some of the southerly tracks. Hoping some guys might be able to ride and give feedback on some of the northern tracks I have mapped out.

Anyway, hope you like the video, I'm a bit of two left feet and stiff as cardboard with that sort of thing.

After smashing over one grid that looked ok at about 8okph, I decided this one deserved more respect as approaching it at speed it did not look right.

G'day Deception, can you tell me what screen you have as I am looking for a more protective one for winter.
I am currently using a cut down screens for bikes one, which is great most of the year but I feel the cold when it gets frosty.

Love the bike setup. I second the interest int he scereen I have tried a couple but they buffeting was just too much, your any good at 100Kph??
Also I have been looking for a bar light where did you get yours, how do you find it???

Howdy, glad you are enjoying the ride report. I'll try and get Part 2 out shortly however; we will be shifting in a few weeks so everything is upside down, could be a while.

The screen is a Madstad screen with adjustable height. I also pulled it off and moved the holes a further inch down. It isn't too bad for buffeting and you can tell the difference when you stand up. It is also braced from the back of the headlight surround to the bar clamps so it is solid.

Light bar is a 36 watt light from E bay and I made the support myself with some 1/2 round bar, my hammer and my vice. Welded it together, rough but strong.

I probably have but have not pulled it off the GPS yet. I'll do that tonight as I want to get some tracks from the weekend off as well. I'll post it to TAUT for download.

Tracks now available on TUAT. Please use at your own risk and some areas are quite remote with very little traffic. Watch out for the cattle grids between Mildura and Cobar, some are not in good condition.

Maaaate! what a great report! :) I reckon I was as sad as you for your ride to end :(
I enjoyed every second (even the music!) Just watching this tonight has put me in a wonderful place mentally. I feel grateful to live here, and awed by this country :)
    (best seen on a DR650 ;) )
Cheers, and thanks for posting :)
