It was 1986 - my first road race ever was 4 hour endurance race on Eddie Lawson replica that had been punched to 1200 something cc's
It was at Green Valley Raceway in Ft Worth TX and raining - I made it thru my 1st stint, guy that owned bike went out for his stint and tossed bike into guardrail ending our day and I was really glad cause I was scared as hell on that thing in the rain

Thanks to all you guys for posting up these great pics

Green Valley brings back some good memories for me. I spectated my 1st road race there, a Trans-Am event. A few years later I got to race a solo event there and won it. Never knew there was any bike racing at the track.

I raced with Brian Filo and Dave Crussell years ago. They're two of the best people I've ever met in motorcycling.

Saw these guys at Road Atlanta in '82.

    Steady Eddie won that race.

I don't think there's an endurance racing thread , so , I'll just drop this here.
Nessie , a Kawasaki 900 4 powered racer with Difazio hub center steering and front suspension , an underslung fuel tank and a swingarm that pivoted co-axial with the drive sprocket.
Called Nessie because of it's ugliness and similarity to the Loch Ness Monster.

The yellow school bus, in the upper left hand corner, with all the people on the roof, is us.
