    I was thinking that too.

For years, in that area, any old drum was good enough. Then someone one decides to have a newer 'proper' letterbox and along comes Beet and outdoes 'em all with an 'arty (farty) letterbox to give the whole street an inferiority complex.

Now, because of Beet the other men in that neighbourhood will be getting grief from their other halves about their respective insignificant letterboxes.

History will record this week as the start of the great letterbox arms race of 2020...

Just tell me if I upset people with posting pictures of tasks I do. I so much enjoy doing them and sharing my journey but just not my intention to embarrass. All the best.

Don't worry about it Beet, if that's what you do when not riding it is on topic, or so I thought.

Ah yes, fire crackers and letter boxes....the memories are flooding in.

I thought the forum was Adv Riding. It's starting to be like walking into a doctors surgery, looking at the magazine table & seeing nothing but woman day magazines.

Topic is "things done when not riding" which is pretty clear, no one is forcing you to read it.

It is a ADV forum. This heading started for the simple reason that we are not all riding all the time and I though it would be nice to see what others do when not and I personally love to see what others get up to. I also feel that it’s more appropriate in the times we now live with to help staying in touch. I for one am struggling a little at this time. Regards

Apologies for upsetting some, my reason was because of the ongoing lack of actual motorbike content appearing so I guess this place is not for me anymore. I don't post that often over the years so maybe leaving is the thing for me.
Hope you get through your drama over there in Vic Beet and you're back out riding sooner rather than later.

I'll be up through TP next week on a ride PG.

Mate I love seeing all your projects !
Keep it up. That’s what this thread is all about.

I’m too lazy to learn new skills so I admire all your work and all the work of the more skilled builders on here.

When I have free time I am usually exercising or reading. (I’m a regular at my local library)
Two very different things I know, but that’s me.

Small projects like my biking camp table or my clothes and shoe racks are the extent of my fabricating.

Thanks for that idea Andrew, I recently bought a new stepladder as I thought the (very) old one was getting to be dangerous and was intending to take it to the tip. But now I'm thinking I'll give it a coat of paint and I'll have trendy clothes rack/hanger.

(I love my new stepladder, I never knew my real ladder.)

I can’t claim credit for the clothes rack.
Martina gave me the idea, I guess she got sick of me tossing my clothes on the floor.
I made a shorter one for the guest room.
