A true Journeyman of the Yarts!
Made a few pens on the wood lathe just playing with different shapes and timber.
And now recently tried turning Acrylic which is a lot trickier than timber.
Not every attempt is successful.
Nice work nevgriff64.
You can't make an omlette without breaking a few eggs, eh Nev?
You turn up the bodies on the lathe... what about the internals and clasps etc.? Purchased on e-bay one assumes...?
Nice hoby... lathe therapy.
I just purchase the pen kits from Pop's Shed in Chirnside Park.
I did my first woodturning course with them and then purchased my wood lathe and bits and pieces through them as well.
You can buy slightly cheaper from China but I'd prefer to support a local business and they are great to deal with so the little extra money I'm happy to spend.
I never knew Pops Shed existed. I've only been in that shopping complex a thousand times.
I need a new refill for a custom pen given to me years ago which I've never been able to find. I'll have to pay them a visit.

There's a driveway running to the right of The Habitat Pet Supplies and its up the back of the shops there.
If you look at Google maps it kind of suggests its behind Bunnings but you need to drive down a different driveway.
They have a great selection of pen parts so would be very surprised if they don't have what you want and offer a great postage service or even free delivery over a certain price.
Maybe give them a call and see what they can do you you.
Thanks. They are only about 10 minutes drive from here.
