I did an AMA National Adventure Ride there in 2015. (Slate Creek on the AMA sched.) and it was superb dualsport riding. There are lots of "pay to play" orv parks within a 2 hour window. There's also 2 great friends that I have made through ADVRider who know every nook and cranny and have agreed to drag my butt all over the place. One is a dualsport guy (my DR650 will like) and the other guy has a M/C suspension shop (he did my DR suspension) and has a TE450 and is a single track guy who also will be showing me where the good stuff is. I'm 64 and I don't have that many serious single track years ahead of me. This place (NE Tenn) is dualsport heaven and that's where I'll be for the foreseeable future in a few years. The short Warmer winters will allow me to ride almost year round. Fishing is also fantastic. This part of the country is like the White Mountains, without the nasty winters. (there's 10 peaks there higher than Mt. Washington)

Glad I got to ride half a lap with you guys yesterday. Mark kept taking the scenic route! LOL
I feel old this morning. Something about riding at the BMX track Saturday with both children and then riding with you fast guys Sunday tuckered me out.

Showing up at 800am is no advantage, puts extra beat down miles on you. I only did 22 miles, hope the Olympia gel gloves come before the weekend.

sounds like you need man hands... :nod

we should do a big bike ADV ride at some point. I would try some of the upper trails, but after eventually getting stuck & dropping the bike eleventy times, most of the ride would probably be on the river side. If there is any interest, lemme know and I will make it happen.

planning on another Thursday ride this week. if all goes well, perhaps i may go again Saturday or Sunday. :-)
