I don't like waterproof liners, The overall cut looks good, if a bit garish, but the target audience sort of likes that kind of thing. No decent forward vents. From a style stand point I like the no outside second layer, leather patch on the impact areas look of this jacket. But for long term I'd worry about the durability Red and Oranges fade the most under UV light, I wonder how this jacket will look two years down the road and 30K miles of sun exposure. Since the orange areas of this jacket are typically what fade first for me with any of my jackets.
I'm guessing its make by Alpinestars? Those top snaps look like access vents; which are in a good position to grab air, even with a windscreen. Really needs vents on the sleaves/armpits though.
I'm not sure who's making the lower end stuff for KTM, but if it's been made by A* or another big name, they call it out directly and use the same model name.
Hahah, no no, just trying to contribute to my fellow inmates! I just bought the jacket myself a moment ago and found this code on the advrider.com
Will give an update in about a week or so then! I posted the same question on a bunch of KTM facebook groups and gotten about 30-40 responses, all positive, people loving the jacket.
I was thinking of purchasing the set. Can anyone comment on sizing? I am usually between an XL and XXL but I don't know which to choose here since there are no sizing charts. I wound up taking a huge loss on a badlands pro 2xl because i was swimming in it. -Dan
I had this jacket for about a month or so now. Phenomenal quality, functionality, and fit. I usually wear a Large, I also wear a Large in Klim and an XL in Revi't jackets. The KTM Jacket was spot on Large for me.
Superb! I rode in mid 70's without much fuss. It has an amazing feature that all jackets should have. Basically you can either zip with normally or, you have a second liner (mesh) section (about 2.5 inch wide) that you can zip it to that, meaning you get a feeling of an open jacket while its actually zipped to the mesh section. Its a really well designed jacket.
A big one the length of the entire front zipper 2 near collar bone 2 under armpits 2 vents in the back (top)
