Broken leg. I saw him prostrate on the track in, and being attended to by lots of folk - he was conscious - he even had a mug in his hand :lol3

I got some more photos loading please feel free to contribute.

Hey Champs what a great rally, great to see you all.

The DR was still up in Warners Bay (after blowing up the clutch at Stockton) at Dannos old man Rob's place so I hired a shitbox Hyundai and left Canberra at 6.30am. Got to Newcastle at 10.30am and it was about 12is when I left.

The DR wouldn't rev over about 1/3 throttle and I could do a maximum of 78 on the freeway. I stopped a couple of times to do all I could (basically poking it with a quizzical look on my dial) and I have to say that going along the freeway at 78 in the pissing rain is a particular joy.

Anyhoo, I got to the rally at 8.30ish and had a ball. :freaky This was the first TTT, the first time on most of the trails, first night dirt ride but I think it was all good because I couldn't see the drop-offs. I did have a couple of moments in mud I didn't see, that helped me to concentrate.

In the morning some people who actually know something about DRs and motorcycle mechanics (and quite a few who didn't) had a look at the bike. It seems that the airbox was full of fuel :eek1 something to do with stuck jets or diaphrams which I'm sure means something to other people.

The only trouble was that I used a heap more fuel and ran out on the way out. Davorallyfan gave me six cups of fuel and one for the pot (I only had a enamel cup to transfer from his tank to mine) and escorted me back to Taralga doing wheelies at every opportunity to show me what a functional DR can do.

Fuel up an Taralga and 78kph back to Canberra.

So thanks heaps to Harry and Dave and everyone who helped out, I seem to be making a habit of this.:lol3
