    Enjoy this teaser trailer.

Should be familiar areas to some of you BC Dualsport folks.

"Join GrizzLee as he takes an exploratory trip into British Columbia's back country. Starting at Harrison Mills, BC, he winds his way up along the East Side of the magnificent Harrison Lake. Taking the “fun” route through back country roads over a pass to Nahatlatch Provincial Park. From there the fun begins along the Texas Creek road, paralleling the Fraser River in a deep gorge filled with history, mystery and scenery. He travels the Bridge River complex riding up and over Hurley Pass to the gold country, enjoying the scenic highline bypass steep above Anderson and Seton Lakes. The diversity and solitude make it a worthwhile trip for any overland traveler."

Ok.. while I'm waiting on an alpha cut of the video to compile....

    A blast from the past...

Picture of Lee Sr (my dad) on his 3 legged horse named Pepper. According to my mum, he was about 20 years old at the time. Unfortunately, my dad passed away from cancer at age 36...

Always thought dad looked like Marshal Dillion from the TV Series Gunsmoke.

Damn I miss him. Miss riding with him in the mountains of Wyoming as a kid. Miss camping and fishing... all the good times.

Always make time for your dad... You never know how much you miss him until he's gone. :(

Well said. My Dad is 92 and quite ready to go out and rake some prunings up out in the peach orchard.
Always organized and happy. Sorry you lost your dad so early. He clearly left a mark though.
You know those times when you stop the bike and take it all in. He is there ..
    That horse looks happy.

I don't have any map that lists Hurley Pass. Help a brother out! Thanks.

    Good question...
I looked this up as well. Although I couldn't really find an official Hurley Pass on the maps, there are references to it. Maybe they are incorrect. But there is a road called the Hurley Road that comes out of the Pemberton Valley the goes through a pass to Gold River and Bralorne. It was extremely bumpy with rocks embedded in the road... a real suspension work out of the gluteus maximus. See the attached pic with the pin for location. Beautiful area. A real gem of BC. The entire area is breath taking. Drive the hwy between Lillooet and Pemberton once to see that and then take the back route through Carpenter Lake/Seton Portage/Anderson Lake or the Hurley Road and never look back.

BTW: For those who are interested, I do show some maps in my video. I don't have GPS tracks. But they really aren't needed IMHO. Getting lost is part of the adventure. :type

Thanks! Three of us have a trip planned for this summer and we'll do some of what you mentioned here.

Like your trip, up east Harrison, then northeast to the eastern end of Nahatlatch Provincial Park, then north up the west side of the Fraser to Lillooet. Then up to Big Bar Ferry and on through Gang Ranch and Chilko Lake. Eventually, Tatla Lake as a base. We'll be near Lillooet on our way back and will explore in the Gold Bridge and Seton Lake area.

We were in Tatla Lake last year before the fires so we're anxious to see what it looks like now.

BTW, the gas station on the highway at Hanceville burned down but just 6 miles (10 km) up the road is fuel. Tl'Etinqox Trading is open 6AM to 10PM according to the lady on the phone. Curious if they survived the fire or rebuilt. It was pretty bad in that area.

Also fuel in Nemaiah Valley at a place called Xeni Gwet'in. 9 to 5. And she mentioned there is no place to eat there so pack and plan accordingly.

    Thanks again.
    So many roads...

I should be out there this fall. Damn fine country. I'm interested in seeing the fire damage as well. The loss of Lee's Corner is very disheartening.

BTW: Video is 95 % done. Just having the missus look at it and then I need to add the credits. Hopefully this weekend I can upload it. Sorry for the teasers... Hope that works for you Mr Mercenary. Your comments made me laugh. :beer

I'll be up and around those parts this June and probably Sept/Oct. I'll be the guy on the black KTM 950 with a big old smile on his face. Love riding in that area - it's truly spectacular and wonderful.

Just note @pckopp : Hurley Pass is great, and there SHOULD be gas in Gold Bridge, but I have been there when the pump was shut off, so just plan for that.

I need to get on the bike....
