Hey guys, if you are riding thru Ruta 3 in south Argentina (most likely you are), give me a shout, I'll get you some beers and a discount at my hotel in Caleta Olivia, Santa Cruz province in Argentina. We are 1100 km from Ushuaia. If weather is nice we can have an asado too!! Best of luck in your trip!

    Magnificent reportage!

Re: the couple on the Trans Alp suffering the death of a rear shock; Have any of you had a rear shock casualty? As heavily laden as you are and with the world-class pounding the bikes are getting, it must say something for the OEM shock. How abut the front end, emulators? Inquiring Strommers would like to know.

Concerning the next phase, are the two remaining Amigos going to reunite further down the line? Does this adventure end in Buenos Aires?

Awesome, I'm definitely coming that way!

We all have Cogent Dynamics aftermarket suspension front and rear. It's quite nice.

We will not be reuniting until we get home. It ends for me in BA, not sure about Tim.

Haha you may notice that the report is in my voice 90% of the time and always posted by me.....and I'm the only one that comments here. This report will continue and will be finished. In fact I've been working on another post today.

Still have a month left. The report will continue and I expect it will remain to be just as good.

    YEAH!

Honestly Iv'e tried to get hooked on a few other ride reports but they seem to be lacking compared to this one. And yes, I can tell you're doing most of the "work"

New post is all written, just letting the guys take a look and add pictures. It'll come out Monday.

Tim and I are in Santiago. Tomorrow I will ride south with minimal plans and we'll see where I go. I think the general plan is TDP, Ushuaia, Buenos Aires, then meeting my whole family in Aruba, then back home. Still getting quotes for cheapest bike shipping.

Well it's with a heavy heart that I must inform I am heading home. Unfortunately due to a family emergency I'm on the first flight back home. My bike is in Santiago.

It's too soon to say whether or not I'll go back or have it shipped home but I'll decide over the next week.

As for the blog, there will be three more posts at least to cover the remainder. I will keep writing even while I'm home.

This isn't how I envisioned or wanted this trip to end. Sucks. Sorry for the aloofness of my explanation. Still processing.

That's not good to hear mate. Best of luck with the situation back home. Hopefully you're able to get back to the bike and finish the trip.
