I thought about offering my van, with the 3rd jump seat in it, we can put a 650 in the back but that offers no sleeping space and all the seats are upright and uncomfortable after a few hours of driving.

Working on fitting everything on the bike. This is the first time I have ever ridden/camped this long. I think I'll have to leave the kitchen sink at home. I have about 10 days of breakfast and dinners. Those bastards take up a lot of space.

Looks good. The food goes away everyday, so we will get lighter as we ride.

So, tonight I will be being changing oil and drive train and putting on my dirt wheels. That should do it for my bike. Wednesday night will be the pack. Try to squeeze everything into my three bags, which I think should be no problem. I feel like I am not bring enough stuff. But I think I have all bases covered. I am even bring a camp chair, just a little bit of luxury after all day on the bike.

Ok, after another entire day of running around and timing up loose ends, I am ready to go! I dropped off the project trailer and my bike at Kyle's house a couple hours ago. The trailer towed great, the hubs were ice cold after a 30 minute drive. I am a little worried about how much stuff I am bringing and probably will be throwing stuff away all the way to the Pacific Ocean. I went to REI and when planning a trip like this, they are equal to crack dealers. There is always something that is lighter and packs smaller for another few bucks.

It shed all the unnecessary parts. All that is left is a lean mean, bike hauling machine.

Close. Picking up some bike parts and another trailer spare tire/wheel. Then unloading the bikes.

We stop by the bike shop for a few parts here in Denver.

The counter dude asked what we were up to.

We told him we were doing the TAT.

He asked what passes we would be doing.

As soon as we said Black Bear, his ears perked up. He said there was no way Kyle was going make it DOWN Black Bear. He said Todd and I were fine on our 650s but that Kyle is facing certain death by trying to ride a 950 down there. He would have to hold the 950 at 3000 rpm the whole time. This guy said he owed a 950 for a while and that bike is too big will run too poor at altitude.

We are *very* worried about Kyle's fate. Stay tuned for Kyle's tumble down Black Bear. That will happen on Monday.
