    Now where was I ?

Oh yeah, got the forks done up and reinstalled and the rear wheel fixed up as well with a rebuilt shock tailored no less to my claimed weight and some new rubber, I'll lose those few pesky pounds soon.

PS. A long handled shovel is a great tool for wheel installs.

PPS. The adjuster is back to front to help with putting the chain back on.

DAWN platinum that stuff eats grease and oil, and wont hurt anything else it touches.

HOT water, and a little scrubbing.

They use it to clean waterfowl after oil spills.

It appears to be more like brake dust than grease or oil but I'll try anything, cheers.

I used alloy wheel cleaner on my brembo calipers (F+R Guzzi Breva 1100) , allow it to soak, brush with a wheel brush and hose off. Repeat. It got most of the old dust off. "Bilt Hamber auto-wheel" is the make, it turns red as it's working.

I just ordered a bottle of this stuff.

No-H2O Wheel Kleen is made from an acid-free scratch-free liquid spray on formula which emulsifies road dirt, grime and brake dust particles. It will not damage wheel paint, lacquer or brake lines as some acid based wheel cleaners do. Wheel Kleen can also be used a multipurpose industrial cleaner on all sorts of automotive parts. It's bio-degradable and does not contaminate the environment whilst leaving a brighter shine on alloy wheels.

Hope it lives up to the claims, cheers.

Do yourself a favor and smear a bunch of anti-seize on the chain adjuster screws.

Remove the screws from the swing arm to do your smearing.

To add, ty and get a thread cutter in there to clean the threads up real good before smearing any stuff in there.

The threads were as clean as a whistle when I took them out, only the heads were rusty and they cleaned up nicely, I did spray them with lanolin, that will take care of any problems and if you click on my address you will see that I live in a very dry salt free area, cheers.
