Thanks Sam @Swilling very kind of you!

My idea is , if I take squillions of photos, the occasional one turns out ok.

Been trying to study for my annual Emergency Procedure checks but it’s tough for an old fella so I snuck out for a coffee with @PeteH1 the other day...

Then popped around to see the rebuilt marina and here’s LaDiva! We know the owner and have been out for a spin on her....amazing!

Went for a wee tootle out to Little River yesterday.

A colleague of mine is new to road riding and so we try and get out as much as we can to get some k’s on.

She’s looking at trading up from her 250 to maybe a MT-03 or an R310...

My Motion -X app wouldn’t pick up satellites for the outbound leg for some reason...

Food, sun, coffee and company made the day....

A wee escape to Diamond Harbour was just what the doctor ordered yesterday.

A glorious day weather and road-wise.

Highly recommend DarkStar Cafe over there.

Found a sad Toyota Surf (Forunner) on the way over...:bluduh.

Overall a good breath of much needed fresh air.

Number 4 here Shane! Someone’s got to keep an eye on news from the shakey isles :D. I get so wrapped up in your photos I just keep forgetting to hit ‘like’. Gonna backtrack and rectify that now. Don’t want you feeling ignored :D

    Cheers @BluRidgeRider :thumb

Thanks @JimRidesThis , yes Spring is springing, still a few cooler days here but certainly heading in the right direction.

@Swilling - hey there Sam, I hadn't noticed the belt still there but you're right. There was buggar all of the interior left tho and i noticed that the alloy spare wheel on the back succumbed! :eekers

    Shane

So every few months, Continental Cars Auckland has an open day at their Christchurch outpost. ShaggieSon n I went to the first one and really enjoyed both the new cars on display but also the customer cars that turned up while we were there.

Yesterday was another open day so we went for a squizz...

A new Portofino (California replacement and new to me) and V12 GTC Lusso we’re there plus a F355 Spyder....yummy stuff!

However, an even greater treat arrived while we were there....

Top of the range (LaFerrari excepted) 812 Superfast! All Six Hundred and Fifty odd Thousand dollars.....

Neil, a nice sales consultant offered us a seat, so I suggested SS go first. Neil then said to him “ put your foot on the brake pedal and push the red button on the steering wheel"! J’s first ever Supercar start-up and he starts with a ‘Superfast!? :clap

Neil gave it a few revs with his hand on the throttle....I had to go and have a lie down and a cigarette :bubba (and i don't smoke! :lol3)

And today they had a local owners drive out so we had to go down have a geez......19 cars attended [IMG]:-)

There were a few enthusiastic throttle pedals as they left....a bit off opposite lock and away! :raabia:drif

    NB : No MC content...:doh

Good friends of ours were racing at our local racetrack this weekend so ShaggieWife and I attended to wave pom-poms, do cartwheels etc...

The son (same age as ShaggieSon, 17), is the up and coming racer (last season NZ Champ :clap and South Island Champ in Series 1 RX-7 class....hugely competitive and all identical spec cars) but Dad has decided Son is not having all the fun so this season they're both running cars!

No pics of Sam's actual racing as we were too busy cartwheeling and pom-pom-ing but took a still lfe in the pits prior and then a few crappy cell phone action shots pf the Muscle Car class and Pre-65's trying especially hard....note those inside wheels.

And the R32 GTR that was a monster in the anything goes class...

Gorgeous day in The garden City today...

Was popping by the new $100m (!) Central Library just recently opened...the stairs had been referred to as 'the Harry Potter stairs' and although this photo doesn't do them justice, i can see the resemblance....

[IMG]LibraryHogwarts by Shane Doig, on Flickr

Then i just had to get BoomShanka out from under her dust cover...

Was not looking for a coffee or a cafe but envisaged a quiet spot to maybe lay on the grass in the sun with a book .......:*sip*

[IMG]Summit7 by Shane Doig, on Flickr

    Perfect

Nearly there (overlooking Lyttelton Harbour facing South-ish)

[IMG]Summit1 by Shane Doig, on Flickr

Was looking for a spot to take an 'above the road' pic of the bike...and found my 'quiet spot'...:bmwrider

[IMG]Summit5 by Shane Doig, on Flickr

[IMG]Summit4 by Shane Doig, on Flickr

About 500m down from here, the road is still closed to cars post-earthquakes, so just the occasional mountain biker passed, oblivious to me up above - probably wondering where the bike owner had got to....

[IMG]Summit6 by Shane Doig, on Flickr

And eventually, home to my first swim of the season!

13°C here, incredibly mild for the time of year. According to the forecast it’ll be seven or eight degrees lower next week, that’s about normal for November here.

Oh aye, great photos Shane. I’m dreaming of spring already :D.
