It sure is! It goes well with his equally immaculate 500/4 and 350/4.
Awesome pics Shaggie. I did Christchurch to Omarama on a bicycle in 4 days during the Easter holidays in 2018. My plan was Christchurch to Queenstown, but me and my friend were pushing too hard without enough training and I injured my hamstring and left myself unable to walk/cycle for several days, that along with my friend getting 3 punctures on the same day (using all his spare tyre tubes) meant a call to my (ex)girlfriend to rescue us and drive us back to Christchurch haha. New Zealand has stunning scenery. I lived in Christchurch for 3 years, along with Australia for 2 years previous. Heading back out to Australia in a few months time. Lake Tekapo on a cold winter day is the most stunning thing I have ever seen, the frozen snow-capped Southern Alps along with blue skies and the cloudy water of Tekapo was just surreal. I'm no stranger to beautiful scenery (I live in Ireland), but New Zealand combines some of the most stunning landscapes in such a small country. I camped at Tasman Glacier below Mount Cook for 2 nights back in spring 2017, and despite being freezing cold (even during the day), it was genuinely a breathtaking place!
Nice to hear from you Chris! Great pics and an epic adventure!
Would that by any chance be your son's race car on the right Shane? If so, I seen it on the Mag & Turbo Race Day back on 22 April 2018.
Not son’s but good family friends. My son Jackson went to school with Sam and until recently we were neighbours.
Sam (at 18) is two time NZ RX7 champion....looking to step up to another level this coming season but I’m not sure what to.
Quick trip (in the cage , but a fun cage ) to home town Blenheim at the weekend to attend two funerals.
Called in on some friends in their very cool house bus, who were enjoying the start of the whitebait season...
Whitebait fritters: Where you fry the fry?
Nicely done John
Scroll down for NZ
ShaggieSon’s high school chums had organised a car show as a business experiment last year....it was so successful that they’ve decided to make it an annual event....
Weather was pretty poor but a pretty good lineup of cars and plenty of spectators - all proceeds to the Cancer Society
Nice Pontiac. My brother had it's sister, a '59 Oldsmobile.
Constant Reader, I must apologise, not many updates of late...here’s a few all mashed together
An historic building recently reopened (after an extensive fix up job post earthquakes) as a cafe/restaurant so @PeteH1 and I went to check it out...having never been inside before, I was gobsmacked
Then work took me to Brisbane and back....
And now, I’m on annual leave for 3 weeks (just finished week1). TeamShaggie were supposed to be in Vietnam and Cambodia over these weeks but a last minute stick in the spokes has meant we postponed till March ‘20. I have so much leave owing that I didn’t even consider asking my long suffering Crew Manager to take back my leave....
So the Little River Cafe and Art Galley beckoned......
As did the Lyttelton Coffee Company.....
Lots of yummy twisty roads...
And today the tiny farming village of Cust called and said “C’mon out y’hear?”
Not so many twistys today but some nice views nonetheless
Road trip tomorrow in the tintop (at least it’s a fun tintop!) to see my sister in Blenheim so hopefully some nice pictures to come.
Best wishes all
