Haha the Beemer emblems have been a lot of fun. On my trip out to Utah I almost had some guys convinced the bike was the new F250 GS that I was testing in the States :) I removed all the Yamaha logos except for the one on the clutch cover.

Since the vent hose does not go into and down the steering stem as it used to I put the filter on the end to keep dirt and crud from getting into the tube and possibly into the tank. It might not be needed but I don't know how the fuel cap works regarding how it vents.

Just signed up for D2D on June 16/17. Anyone else going and want to split a room? Probably gonna make reservations at the 5th Avenue BB for the nights of June 15 and 16. Here is their website. About $105 a night....looking for people who want to split the cost because I'm cheap :)

If anyone has recommendations for places to stay that would be great. I will mostly be camping to keep the cost down but would like to stay inside at Dawson for a change.

I went ahead and reserved a room for Thursday the 16th and Friday the 17th of June at the Triple J Hotel in Dawson. It's the headquarters for the D2D event. If anyone is going and needs a place to crash when you get there the room has two beds and plenty of floor space.

Been looking at this stuff to try and keep the WR from being eaten up too bad with the calcium chloride on the roads in Alaska. Anyone used it before and if so did it work as advertised?

Be sure to take lots of DEET mosquito repellent and a head net, you'll need them.
