I hope your ride report gets as many hits as your planning thread

It would suck to cancel the trip now.....

Just got back from a short ride and got the fire going. Got some travelers stopping by for the night tomorrow. Then a bit of yard work and I'm done with NC for three months :-)

Yes I will. I have a few (very) friends who want to follow along. I created a Spotwalla page called "Tiny Bike to Alaska 2016". I guess I did it right.

Hey Tim, been following along again. FYI, in Salida here this Saturday afternoon. Snowing hard. It ain't pretty. Supposed to straighten up by Mon. Tues though. . If I remember correctly, you will be coming through Buena Vista. It would be great to meet up with you. We will see. Travel safe. Terry

    Hey Terry,

I will be in Boulder on Wednesday and start across CO on Thursday. Looks like the weather will be good then for a few days. I will PM you when I get near to Salida. Look forward to meeting you. Hope it works out.

Hey there Tewster2, I rode up to Alaska from Utah before heading south to central America on my Honda CRF250... I was lucky to meet Stefano on the way on a WR250 We rode a month together, it helped keep us both sane as the ride up there on a 250 doing 40-55mph can be a little dull. You wont regret it! Had the best time ever, just make sure you take an eye-shield for you to sleep with.

    Yep looks good....

Get the coffee brewing for me haha.

I like to really look around these days so the slower the better! It's great that more and more people over here are riding the smaller bikes. I've got several folks who will be riding part of the trip with me. Will be nice to have company who know the areas.

:*sip* I figure you're loaded up and hoisting the sails on your prairie schooner this morning. Have a great time and post a teaser pic now and again. All the best, Rich
