There are many ways to stay at 3 Step. Nice big cabins for many guest, rustic cabins, tee pee, and tent camping. Here is my rustic cabin for two days.

I got unloaded and went back to the cantina. Grabbed a book about the "Wild Bunch and Robbers Roost". I spent a couple of hours reading and napping. I was the only guest tonight.

About 1700 Scott came in from weed whacking and asked if I wanted steak, baked potatoe, green beans, salad, and a roll for dinner. I was flabergasted and my eyes teared up....I've been eating at Maccas and places that give me the trots for almost a week....I guess it would be ok :lol3

Anyway...it's Mother's Day so I called mom and wished her a happy day. Sent a bunch of photos to some friends and now I'm gonna ride back to 3 Step, grab a book, a seat on the porch and chill...

3 Step is completely of the grid...no phone service or Walmart....just about perfect.

Oh BTW....I just misssed the big Honda event here in Moab where they had a bunch of the new Africa Twins for anyone to ride....

On the way back to 3 Step I'm gonna try to do the La Sal Mountain Loop...hope it's not blocked with snow...

Back on the road after three great days at the 3 Step Hideaway. Will be camping at Monument Valley tonight. They have wifi so I'll be able to update the RR.

How often does Spotwalla Update? I'm thinking of setting it up for my June trip. Seems like some folks struggle with the set up. I'm sure I'll be one of those.

Every 10 minutes last time I used mine, but that was a year ago and Tim's isn't doing that now. Hmmm, I use the SPOT site, not Spotwalla.

I use the SPOT site for family, but thought about embedding into one of the forums I follow. So...Spotwalla.

Another option for iPhone keyboard. It performed without fuss and packed small on my ride last year.

Um, Tim at your age, don't you think you need to do the automatic spot update so you don't forget. Because if you forget, we can't ride vicariously through you LOL

I am at the Gouldings's Lodge Campground right across the road from the tribal park. Really nice with all the things I need (shower, good internet, laundry, and food.

I think it updates in real time.

I think most all the BT keyboards do.

    I'll check it out, thanks.

Haha yep you are right...everywhere I go there I was :-)
