I'll bite..I ride a GS and a dirtbike. Both street legal, both with OHV tags since I ride both offroad (yes including riding the GS in OHV areas). The conversation went something like this:

Me: I want to ride my bike off road.
People who know what they are talking about: Get an OHV tag.
    Me: OK

And yet here we are, 11 pages later.

I know it's quite odd. Did you read Arizona Revised Statute 28-1177 ?....clearly says your GS does not comply with the requirements to be issued an OHV sticker! It's akin to issuing a sticker to a Jeep. (Which the statute precludes).

What people told you to put an OHV on your GS? Matthew Eberhart Assistant Coordinator of Parks and Trails told me not only is it not required, that bike doesn't comply for a sticker. You can email him as final authority. Don't take it from me and beat me up. He will put it in writing. Kill him as messenger not me.

Thanks for telling me what bikes, I appreciate that.

The irony here is you are the messenger citing the words of your false prophet. Matthew is not a legal authority on the topic as I have told you many times.

Personally, I choose to trust our AG's office, the judicial system, and our DMV over an argumentative Kalifornicator. You are a legend in your own mind.

Nice. You got to use the California with a K....cute.

I'll go with the AG too.....look up Arizona Revised Statute 28-1177 and get back to me with your thoughts.

I'll be legendary for about six months after my death then fade in to obscurity like hundreds of millions of other dead folks who have disappeared that way throughout history.
My false prophet is YOUR Parks and Trails off road vehicle program assistant coordinator...sue me.

So YOU are a legal authority on this subject? You know more about this than Parks and Trails?

Shouldn't you be working instead of surfing ADV?

Funny, I was the guy who both informed you of 28-1177, the Agency interpretations, the "dual sport exception", etc. By the way, I was also the guy who wrote the budget that created Matt's position, something else you were informed of.

Also, educated people know the law is not black and white. Rather it is something interpreted. When the agencies who are authorized to interpret it do so in my favor, I'm happy to oblige.

Why don't you read the freak'n threads you keep polluting? All the answers are there, but you choose to ignore them and advance your agenda.

Eberhart sent me the statute. I hadn't seen it until he forwarded it to me.

I'm lost on the dual sport exceptions and etc. Could you point me in that direction again? I'd like to review it.

You mean 28-1177 says a road bike can't get a sticker but there is an exception for a dual sport road bike? Can I get a sticker/or do I need one for my 2012 Triumph Bonneville Scrambler or my New BMW R nine T scrambler or new Ducati Scrambler, to use them in OHV areas?

I don't have an agenda. I merely pointed out street plates supersede OHV sticker and got dog piled on. Not my fault. Just pointed it out.
Can I have an answer to my previous bike use questions please? The Triumph, the Ducati, the BMW. Point me towards the info for dual sport exceptions...I want to learn.

So what do you suggest he does now? Go turn himself in and demand the bike be impounded?
