You can just use regular sheet metal screws, but these are designed for this use and I hope they will last a little longer.

    "Original" Gold Screws. $50/1000 7/16"

McDWife was not terribly impressed watching me drill screws into a perfectly good (and new) motorcycle tire.

tell her about the savings on the parts (body and bike) from less falling, if that doesn't work, stop showing her that stuff.

McD, How are you getting the 650 down to the farm?

whats the signs and symptoms of the klx?

is it cranking over, if not check the clutch and sidestand interlocks and the lockout relay (my relay parked the bike)

If its cranking check the spark and see if the plugs wet, if that checks out, try new gas and maybe some ether.

try thumpertalk.com there are some good folks there with more expertise than I.

As always check the connection from the plug wire to the boot. It gets pulled loose from people pulling the off by tugging on the wire

as long as we're talking tires.

i took a nail in the rear tourance last week and plugged it.

i've put 2K miles on plugs while on trips but that's typically warmer weather and on asphault..

anyone know how the plugs hold up in cold weather and on gravel?? :ear
