i agree that a lot of people overuse hanging off on the street.

for rossi to be known for NOT hanging off (which he clearly does do) is a testament to the value of the technique. he's known for not doing it because he' not as extreme as many (most) others. but he does it, just like every other racer you've ever heard of for the last 40 years.

I think I mentioned previously that your penchant for posting photos of Rossi hanging off at the track is just about as applicable to 99% of sportbike riders as posting pictures of SI bikini models is to photos of your granny in Ft. Lauderdale. :pierce

I post pictures of Racers like Rossi and I am wrong, I post pictures of me, and I'm arrogant, post pictures of others on the street and they are posers or idiots.

I would post pictures of you, but your arrogant old ass already did that :eek1 and it does not even fit with the theme of the thread :deal

Just no pleasing some people. :lol3:lol3

Nothing pleases Lemieuxmc than to have someone post something he can disagree with. What else is he going to do to occupy his time?

Having raced outboard boats in my teens, then club raced bikes in the high desert,
I know it is better to not give up the inside line. :deal

I'd bet you wear show-boating knee pucks that make sparkies when dragged. :lol3

Perhaps it says that he rides his own ride and isn't concerned with trying to impress anyone that he comes across...

    But what do I know.

One thing is to hang off. Another is to have the knee out... If you want to go fast, you don't want your knee out, unless you are going slowly or on a very tight corner. Some people are just show offs. They are not the fast guys. The show offs have their knees out more than the bike's lean requires. Check the lean on Rossi's bike when the knee is dragging. Now check the squids... Pathetic, if you ask me.
