    1986 Honda Nighthawk S CB700SC - $3000 (Placitas)

Up for sale is a 1986 Honda Nighthawk S (CB700SC).

This bike is in excellent cosmetic and working shape.

Low miles, good tires, recently serviced, no leaks, no issues.

Carbs have been jetted to 5000ft altitude so the bike runs great.

Very reliable, hydraulic valve adjusters and shaft drive means fill it with gas, change the oil, and ride on!

Clean title in my name, currently insured and registered.

Test rides with cash in hand.

More like $24k. The panniers are around $2k and the Navigator $1k.

Hah, almost as good as the ribbing I got (deserved) from the 3 dudes trailering their ktms/husky up in Red Lodge on Saturday. Said bike is now mine & visited 3 states (5 if counting 4 corners) last weekend for its 2k mile break-in. good times :lol3

PS - I told the Red Lodge dudes that I am a professional fuel tanker delivery service with a delivery order of 8 gallons of refined dinosaur - destination tbd. :D

Look, I'm a fan of customs and cafes. Especially of the BMW variety, but for $20k I'd at least want a fucking speedo or even a creative ignition/key placement. Motogadget has some REALLY cool kit for those purposes, but this bike has none of it. I want to like it, because honestly it looks good. The closer you look though the more you realize it's not worth the cost of admission.

Good catch Blake, you'd think when asking that kind of $$ he'd have at least taken the time to wipe off the fork tubes.

That is why those back yard finds with just a frame and some bars are worth a fortune.

I think it's the custom muffler that is driving the price up. That rusty area at the mount is quite artful.
