I for one love the dual round headlight look. It was absolute blasphemy when they went to oval lights on the Speed Triple so I am happy to seem them retained on the Rocket.

Speaking of new stuff, I kind of like the looks of the New BMW R-18. Kind of a cross between and older /2 and a modern cruiser. If your into the cruiser kind of thing. :deal MUCH better try than the Montana was.

I’ve never taken a cruiser style bike (like those posted on this page) more than around the block. How do they ride in real life? I can’t get over the forward foot controls. How do you get your butt off the seat for a bump? I can’t imagine riding something designed to have less control available in the name of comfort/style.

Many moons ago, I watched a woman on one of those smoke the twisties (as much as one can) between Wetmore and Westcliff. It immediately changed my opinion of that bike. Then I rode one and found out I felt like I was destined to crash with my feet that far out in front of me :lol2

I rode cruisers for most of my life and yes you can rip on them if you want. The biggest problem was always dragging hard parts. My problem is that my back is so bad that the foot forward position just kills my back these days. I can only ride a pretty much conventional sit up and beg bike. Getting older sucks. :lol3

That RD400 topped out at $6,600 on eBay, did not hit reserve, price has dropped on CL to $8,600.

    I would settle for a nice mellow RZ500 or YZR500 instead. :lol3

I remember riding up on a H-D rider one really cold morning. His feet were on the forward controls his pant legs were fully expanded with all that air going up one side and down the other. I followed him for a few miles, the guy gutted it out. Not my style, not at all.

Not insane enough. :clap I would love to find something like an RZ, YZR, H1, H2 etc. except they are made of diamonds these days. I would probably put my eye out anyway.

Here is a couple pictures to remind you of the 12 FJR. Diane could never get comfortable on the back. I really enjoyed it solo. FB_IMG_1586321741834.jpg FB_IMG_1586321806152.jpg

Well, maybe we're going to be ok after all:

    Screenshot_20200408-144220.png

If Motorado can sell a bike with all this going on I'd say they're pretty darn good at selling bikes!

I'll be doing a little economy stimulating myself soon!

had a buddy back in the early 70's that had a hot-rodded titan....high compression work on heads, and a (barely) silenced set of expansion chambers (JR?)....i rode it one time - he said try this out....and on a back road at 80-85...i had the defining speed wobble of my 50+ years of riding.

slowed waaay down, and took it straight back where it came from.... :nod
