Hey TT experts, I just purchased my TT Rider 550 and am really liking its simplicity. Using MyDrive and wirelessly importing my routes is a pretty sweet deal as I’ve been out of the SatNav game for awhile which leads me to my question:

Why do I need a micro SD card installed? Does it just give me more storage or does it have something to do with routes vs. tracks? Thanks for any insight.

It gives you more storage. When installing maps and/or voices and internal memory is full then SD card is used. I believe TT 550 supports max 32 GB SD cards.
