At risk of violating several ADV codes of honor, I'm trying something out here. I ordered the 790, my first adventure bike and first KTM, sight unseen. As I waited at the dealership for the paperwork, I couldn't help wandering into the Triumph and BMW sections. They make some gorgeous bikes. Pardon me for saying it, but this isn't a gorgeous bike. Shocker, right?

I had decided on the orange one to be bold. The white one is just too safe. And white. Doesn't matter much anyway because the graphics on this thing are hideous.

So, in the interest of reducing boy racer a bit and toning down the orange a bit, I grabbed some carbon fiber vinyl. Here's my progress. It's all removable and reversible in case you all decide I don't like it. We'll see what it looks like in some better daylight.

Lol... Looks great man. I don't care what you use either for a box. If it works for you, then that's all that matters.

I like the color. Nice job.

Looks good. Maybe swap out the rear white plastic for black plastic or cover with decals. I did that on my 790 S

Bought new 790R plastic from KTM. I think it looks better without the graphic.

Or you could do what I “did”.

Watch the white decals slowly peel off leaving the rear panels all black......

I wish the frame was black so it was only the bolt on stuff that has to be changed away from orange.

Ha. I love orange. Where I live all we have is red clay everywhere so any white just turns a rust color within days of riding in the muck

None of that here! Just regular mud. Might end up in Moab type red dirt but don’t see myself in Oklahoma for some reason.

Yup on the orange stains on anything white or light-colored. Stay away from off-roading near the Red River or at least plan on some serious cleaning afterwards. You get not only the orange stains, but there's something there that gives alloy rims cancer. It starts on the rim interior. DAMHIK
