I'm getting the hang of this stuff. This is another (street) ride on the west side of Atlanta toward Cave Springs...
KevinD Cool stuff. Down loaded your track to my GPS and did a virtual tour around your area. Very cool.
I searched but could not find answer to this basic question: How do you copy the image on your screen like you did with your Google Earth map and post it to this forum or send it to somebody? I'd like to post an image of some Mapsource routes, but do not know how to copy the image on my screen. Thanks. -pantah
On your keyboard hit print screen. That takes a snapshot of what ever is on your desktop and adds it to the clipboard. Then go to start>programs>accessories>paint In Paint, go to edit and paste. Then file>save as... Pick where you want to save the snapshot in the "save in" dropdown...usually my pictures. In the "save as type" I choose JPEG. Default is Bitmap. Name it something witty... The JPEG should be in my pictures to use as you wish.
Hi Kevin... came here to find out why someone started a thread with the same name as mine... whatever... but... Unless I am mistaken (and I often am)... you can also: 1) Right click the image 2) Choose "Save Image As..." (skip to step 4) or 3) Choose "View Image", then right click/save image as 4) ... and you should be done Hope that saves some time for you both...
Nice thread you studly stud! I never thought about the title of this thread being the same as yours... I had to go try to make sure...but the ole *right click>save image as* don't work in Google Earth or Map Source... ...but it works in TB!
OK- how do you post a track onto google earth? Save it as a gpx file in Mapsource first? Then what? Thanks
