Some of the hidden gems I've just re-discovered by reading this report:

    Page 19
The motorcycle industry is about on the cusp of getting 25% female riders. So that means about 75% should be male. This report accurately concluded that a male is more probable to crash. And a male with a motorcycle license statistically the most likely to crash a motorcycle. Win!

    Page 38
In the US, the average height difference between males and females is 6 inches. So considering that the DMV doesn't really care if you round up or down (nor do they measure you), the report has concluded females tend to be shorter than males with approx. the same variation of the entire nation. Win!

    Page 47:
The deliverable/report must be incentivized by page count. This graphic certainly doesn't stand on its' own merit..

People are creatures of habit. Win!

..visions of ‘No child left Behind’ education application being applied to m/c (safety) ... ??

To this day there are individuals that passed and received this States m/c endorsement that shouldn’t have under the MSF/RSS system..based on how the final skills test points were (weighted)scored..and it appears TCTI follows suite.. How many remember the old M.O.S.T. II electronic scoring system?

‘Let’s sell more motorcycles...’ premise still alive..

True, The worst part will be they will now be able to show a reduction in Fatalities. They will claim it is because of the program change. Think about this, they went from training 20,000 new riders a year to teaching 8,600 new riders a year, that is 10,000 less new riders on the road each year, and as has been proven in other states (Like Indiana and others) when you cut the number of new riders allowed to get on the road you will reduce the number of fatalities.

Are you sure they are new riders? I take the brc or the irc every couple of years and I have had my liscense since 95.

@FJRSPORT when dealing with the Marines don't call them soldiers. There are no soldiers in the Marine Corps. We are Marines. The Army has soldiers, the Navy and the Coast Guard have sailors, the Air Force has airmen.

Statistics can only "be made to show what you want" to those who do not understand statistics.

I'm really curious why so many in this thread seem to have an axe to grind?

No, In PA they are teaching that the reason the bike turns is because of the shape of the tire and the lean. So this is the perfect place.
