Anybody hear about Tourance's shaking & shimmying??
I need a new set of tires, replacing T-66's.
Talked to dealer, he said they've had a few cases (did not say exactly how many. should have asked) of a new set of Metzler Tourance's at a certain speed start to develop a shimmy.
When they replaced w/T-66's it went away.

I told him I was surprised to hear this, as so many have recommended the Tourances. Including BMW.

My thought is a bad batch...
    Anybody else experience this??

Yep. Seems like there was a bad batch.
I have a bad front tire, and it has a little shimmy-shimmy coco-pop.
If you're getting it from a dealer, don't sweat it - if you get a bad one he should replace it.

I'd take a Tourance with a little shimmy over a T66 any day. :nod

Yeah, what he said. Replace with a fresh Tourance on warranty. Stay far away from the T66.

    Crash/Fish...

Thanks for the responses. I agree I've heard too much good information on the Metzler's to pass on them. My bike came w/the T-66's so I've just had to wear them out.... Now it's time to move on....

    thanks again.
