I sent an e-mail of to the new Touratech guy [email protected] and recieved a catalogue a week later (dont forget im in WA) and a price list by e-mail . So far so good there address is

    1933 Carboor -Everton Road,
    Carboor, Vic 3678

    Ph 03 57295529
    fax 03 57295559

The Catalogue is very comprehensive at 770 pages.

Now I just have to order something and see what happens from there.

You can download a full TT and Wunderlich catalogue on the EastCoast BM site if anyone is interested.

This reply sums up how Tony does business.
I found RVAqualine great to do business with. I bought a pair of Zega panniers and racks for my 1200GS, looooove the panniers.

    I must confess,

the fact that the factory in europe is overloaded and causing delays is something I can understand.

The fact that an australian distributor may have stocking issues due to low volumes etc i can understand

The fact that australian prices may be higher due to various factors i can understand

An email stating "we are understaffed/overloaded and it may take time to respond to your request" I would have understood.

But no [email protected]#!$%$ response to my email for over a week really #[email protected]%^ me to tears. Jeezus, customer service 101, communicate!

Ahh! thats better. I've had my Touratech Australia Rant for this week!

I had a quick response from Tony which was great. Unfortunately the new Australian distributer price on the item I wanted is 1.5 times the price offered on the international TT website.

Having always bought my TT gear through this website and being amazed at the fantastic service - its sucks big time to now have to pay 50% more for absolutely 0% additional value.

Suffice to say I did not buy the item and will stear clear as long as I can.

I must say that TK has supplied as ordered gear. even sent dogalog without asking??? TK's rep with offroad bikes over the years is fairly good so I doubt he'd try to stuff people about(never met the bloke just going off experience) I have heard that TT is having problems with supply due to new factory being built??? so that may be a reason for any stuff up's. Then again the blockheads have lost twice in a row, so their logistics can be called into question( tongue in cheek) :norton

Don't get me wrong,I rang and emailed Aqualine at the same time as East Coast Bms.I have had my racks for 3 days now and as yet still have'nt even had a response from Mr Kirby and Co.
How can the only ( supposedly ) distributor of a certain merchandise not even respond when you can't ( supposedly ) get it anywhere else in the country ( supposedly ).Piss poor in my books.

    Not always a TouraTech problem

Often ISPs have a FTP server that caches files locally and they can be corrupted locally too.
