Hi Sajor, The BMW's geometry of where the kickstand is placed further forward and how much the bike leans over on it makes it a different than other bikes when using a Trail Stand. I would think it would work fine on the rear but I have not tried it myself. The shortest setting on the Trail Stand is 12 inches between the ground and the cradle that supports the bike so that may be an issue on a lowered bike too. I really cant say how it would work on the front for sure, being lower should help but again the geometry of the kickstand location may cause an issue.
@sTE610vE - whats stock status looking like at this time? Have a trip in a couple weeks, so wondering if I have time to order?
Just ordered one for my Africa Twin ! Been using the Tirox snapjack which works for the rear, but cant seem to find a suitable spot for lifting the front and keeping it stable.
Hey jxvak, thanks for the order and the pictures! You really need to make sure that the Trail Stand is in a position that it can't slip, the front position in your picture really needs to be in a hole in the skidplate and the rear on swingarm needs to have a similar feature to stop it from possibly slipping. I would put it in position and push the bike around to make sure it cant slip. Let me know what you think.
Hi yakmike, I have not used it myself on a 800XC, the key it to have a spot where it supports the bike and can't slip. I look for a spot under the frame near the right footpeg and a hole in the front right of the skidplate and test it for stability before an work on the bike. Hope this helps
Hi Aeroscout, I don't have a discount, the reason is not that I don't appreciate all the advriders that have purchased but the fact is that I am a one man part time operation that struggles to get enough parts produced in the U.S. to fill the orders. What I will say is that if you need a replacement part because of loss or whatever reason, I will send you the part free of charge and only ask for you to cover shipping. Hope that will work for you to place an order.
I respect that and it's great to see how much you stand behind your product. I'm about to order right now.
You wont regret it! I think I may have posted it before, but this is the best tool I own that I hope I never have to use.
Wow, this worked great! Had to drill a small hole in my bash plate for the front tire but no big deal!
