And in case you were wondering, no. I did not cry.
Enjoying your ride report. Looks like you will miss some of the good stuff in CO. Then you will have a reason to go back.
I wish I had known you were holed up here in Tulsa. We have a good group of ADVers here that would have shown you around.
Right, right...of course not!
Man---you are awesome--making the best at what mother nature throws at you and making smart decisions to get to the coast.
Again I wish you the best.
I have a good friend (HighFive) who's motto is "Never Tap-out".
BigDog------a 701 owner.
Thanks again for the advice on Colorado. You guys definitely helped prepare me mentally for the weather here. Not trying to freeze to death by myself in a mountain pass on this trip. My favorite motto and a fitting one for this trip is “keep it moving”.
I’ll hit you up on the way back! ;-)
sorry I was further south and didn't have a chance to meet up, keeping on rocking west, that final ride onto the beach is an awesome experience
Im just catching upon your ride, It looks awesome. Don't feel like lone ranger with your brake bold backing out, mine did the exact same thing! I did the Colorado passes on my 701 last year. It did not like snow, we got to pull and push thru a snow bank on Engineer pass. Good luck and ride on!
I caught up on your report this morning. Myself and probably many inmates that are trapped to a job are living vicariously through your trip. Wishing you success and thanks for posting
that happened to me on my first street bike. Midnight on PCH in Malibu. Fortunately a woman whose dad raced saw me pull off in a cloud of smoke and she gave ma a lift home. Sometimes you catch a break.
Outstanding read. I look forward to a lot more. I have a 2020 701 and find it the perfect bike for this kind of ride. Stay safe
Terrific shots of the great wide open America.
Wow what a great bike ride report - loving it! Thanks!
Great report!!!!! What seat concepts seat you running and how’s your tush after all these miles?
Really loving this!
Excellent reporting and pictures. Thanks for taking us along. Snow, like sand just takes some getting used to!!
This is feeding my bucket list. I'm looking forward fo following along
Checked his Instagram account this morning. Looks like he rode the White Rim trail yesterday and is heading towards Bonneville Salt Flats today.
