Lots of them here on The Rock. Google Burin Peninsula Trail association. T-rail is 900km from one side to the other as well.

Never rode on any section of the T-Rail. How is it lately? I have a few people i know that have been over there on ATVs on that T-Rail and said that some bridges were out and such. But that would have been 3 or 4 years ago.

Crabbes Brook bridge on the west coast was awash a few years ago but all is good now.

Edit.....Bridge at Terra Nova is closed as of Dec 15. Road access bypass is through Terra Nova National Park.

Look forward to the opening of an atv route along the coast, definitely would return to the TLab for this.

Me too. If they do make a coastal route along the St Lawrence that would be epic. Trans lab was fun because of how remote it was but if not for the fact you could travel at 80mph on a gravel road ( if you wanted to ) it was kinda boring. A coastal route would have amazing views I would think.

Somebody's going to say it, on which road or overall?

Overall it's supposedly Cape Spear isn't it?

Oh, never mind, you're talking along the St. Lawrence.. Don't have it handy....

In the meantime f you are traveling to this corner of the continent you can check this out as an alternative.

You can also research Schefferville as a side trip which also appears to be an amazing ride to a remote town and is not accessible by anything other than train. I talked to a rider who has done it and it looks like it will tick all of my boxes. AFAIK no one has done it in the last 7 years or so.

Two years ago, QC 138 along the north shore went as far as Kegaska, 650 km east of Baie Comeau.
I did an out and back to/from there before looping the TLH to Newfoundland. The specific post from my ride report covering that segment:
    http://advrider.com/index.php?threa...rador-and-newfoundland.1013149/#post-25237838

As far as I know, the road has not been extended any further since then. A sandy trail continued beyond the air strip, but for how long I have no idea. It was beyond my capabilities on the Tiger.

The sandy road past the airport is the beginning of the snowmobile trail. It ends at the first pond. I haven't heard any news, although they are clearing brush in the area of Whalehead and Mutton Bay.

Does anyone have an update on the rte 138 and/or the trail?

It's this time of year again when I start planning what I'll try to do this summer.

Anyone knows anything about the project of adaptation of "La route Blanche" for summer travel?

    Any updates?
