    Hey midwest inmates,
I've gotten a bit jealous of all the info available for the TAT And TWAT, so I have decided to start mapping out a similiar trail for Minnesota. It's in the early stages yet, so don't get your hopes up. I'd like this to be a community effort, so please join in with your opinions.
    The website is: http://MinneADV.info
The site also has links, maps, and info on other Minnesota trails. I hope that it can be a good resource for Minnesota riders in the future.
If you've got tracks, maps, or other info you want posted on the site just pm me.

Again, be patient, I only have so much time to create maps and it IS riding season ya know! :D

I don't have a gps, but I know of some dirt roads near some of the track you have laid out. If you have a gps I could show you. It's in the area north of mn 96 up past mn 97. I have been looking a way to take as many dirt roads as possible up to the sturgeon lake area where my parents have a cabin. But I haven't figured out a complete route yet. If you want me to show you shoot me a message.

    I'll take a leine's thanks. :freaky

But seriously just provide feedback on the maps and contribute where you can. That would be great.

Klay, you can help by suggesting a route from international falls to Duluth. I have one mapped out but it is all from Internet sources. You have some first hand experience I think!

I've rambled around up there, but would have to go and do some scouting to come up with a route. If no one else does this, I will eventually. C-zulu or a few others living up up there might have a route or two ready to go already.

I was a early TWAT rider and if you put together a Ride Across Minnesota (RAM) I ride it as quickly as I can. I would be willing to test ride the routes as well.

    Please, keep me updated.

PS. I just spent the last 13 days enjoying your state. I rode all around Lake Pepin and then had some business meetings in Granite Falls. Every time I get along the Mississippi River around MN I want to get back there fast.

Adding to the list: I know some great roads in SE Minnesota. Some fun minimum maintenance roads down there. :ricky

Contributing some minimum maintenance roads would be great. PM me your email address and we'll work it out.
The google map on the website now shows a rough plan for where the TMAT will run. If you can review that then propose some dirt/gravel options near that track it would be awesome.

Inmate coopd has a wealth of knowledge about gravel roads south of the Twin Cities.

    M. Senty would be the guy to talk to for a Ely to Grand Marais route.

Hey. I like what you're doing.

I've had in my mind for a while to order maps for all MN counties, arrange them up on a wall, then highlight all of the gravel or below roads and see what kind of route I can put together.

My guess is that there is a east to west mostly gravel route through southern MN, and that there is a mostly gravel route north to south through western MN.

A north to south route on the western side of the state would be great. I would first like to assemble one on the east side because there are more ohm trails to hit along the way and more scenic twisty river roadsonthe east side. A west side route could be a great return trip though!

Btw... The google map on the site has been updated. The full TMAT has been outlined. I am now in the process of altering the base route with as much gravel roads as possible.

Also, if anyone can download the gpx file for the st croix forest from the site and let me know if it loads into your gps that would be great. I had one person say the file was bad but it works for me!
