Beware the old man with the lantern at the Moonville Tunnel. Don't linger there after dark !

IMG_3110.JPG Made it to Marietta at the leith run campground to hopefully meet up with some riders. Tomorrow headed north to east liver pool. Brilliant riding today filled with tale of the dragon paved twisties and great Ohio dirt riding.

IMG_3122.JPG IMG_3119.JPG IMG_3125.JPG IMG_3111.JPG After sitting around a brisket at jimmy's BBQ in Carrollton , we decided to part ways and return home . Great riding today , water crossings, open field riding and plenty of trail drama with the KLR ! Nice way to get out and explore some of Ohio greatest riding. I have forgotten how good it can be and I don't need to ride 5 hours to have an adventure !!

George Rippey? If so, big fluffy mustache back in the day. I used to deer hunt with him in the 80's near Seneca Lake. Small world. Tell him Doug Thomas says hello.

Looks like a nice trip. I'm a southern Ohio guy, and a volunteer FF myself. I was supposed to leave for a ride in the U.P. of Michigan this week but it fell through, going to be riding some routes down here instead.

What FD ? I did the UPAT in 2014 and it was amazing ! Really sandy though, all of the tracks, that I did ( normal route ) were doable by myself.

I am Engineer on Hamilton Twp. VFD here in Jackson county, 10 years on the department this year. I didn't request enough time off of work this year to make the UPAT trip so I will be riding an overnight loop closer to home. Maybe in Eastern KY, I was looking at the Kentucky adventure trail but just got the GPX for it yesterday.

Cool cool ! Mansfield city 4 yrs in July . The KAT is really fun ! We did about 3/5 of it. Some tricky spots/ weather has a lot to do with it because of the clay roads. I wanna try and get that completed by the end of this year. What do you ride ??

I have an older KLR650, it's been a great bike for me. A buddy of mine was stationed at the ANG base in Mansfield up until last year when he transferred to California. Are there any good dual sport loops up around Mohican?

Nice ! I have heard rumors of a Charles mill/ mufflin dual sport trails but I have scoured every road with no luck. Mohican has some nice dirt roads, as far as dual sport loop Wayne national forest and allegeny, PA are the only ones I know of. Let me know if you venture up north my way, or would like another to join you for the tot maybe , and we could work something out.

Sounds cool, thanks. There are a few areas on dualsportmaps.com around Ohio, I have ridden a few. The Shawnee state forest ride is good, around 130 miles, makes a nice one day ride.

We cut the section down to Huntington off of the TOT, I guess I didn't realize how big it was . Do you have the tracks for it ??
