    Cool ride!

Someday I would like to ride from up here in the PNW to Lake Powell to visit some friends primarily offroad. This gives me some cool ideas!

My grandfather was a machinist and when he retired, he started building minature live steam trains. He built his own replicas of the 119 and Jupiter. They are 1 1/2 inch scale (1 1/2 inch equals 1 foot) and run on 7 1/2 inch guage track. I have been to Promentory Point before but it would be much cooler to visit on a dirtbike rather than a Uhaul truck like last time.

Was there any water at the springs you visited on the Pony Express leg of your route? Are there cattle tanks out there? I have a filter so it is nice to know.

    Thanks for the report.

Great RR! Exactly the kind of thing that appeals to me - exploring the places that I never seem to find time to go in the car. Many of us spend a lot of our life giving lip service to the idea of "the journey is the destination", this trip defines it.

Reason number 476 that I need to do some riding in Utah......
