I saw a glimpse of a trials rider on the trailer for this weeks Americas Got Talent looks like an EM electric Trials bike. The Smage brothers were on a few years ago (2011) and got through 3 rounds... there was a few threads started on the topic back in 2011. The videos are on youtube.

Pat is clearly the quiet one of the three there!

Very much so. Even one-on-one, he's very quiet and soft-spoken. Phil is just as gregarious as you saw in the video. All three are very nice & polite.

They could have just clothes pinned some playing cards in the spokes, instead of all the trouble they went through.

The thing about these types of trials demos is they are great way to display "talent" for pure entertainment but do not demonstrate our "sport" as a competition kind of like the difference between watching a strong man lift a car at a fair compared to a weight lifting competition at the Olympics... both are entertaining but not in the same way. Still nice to see trials bikes getting mainstream exposure.

I have a deep loathing of trick/stunt riding shows, whether it's 'trials' related or otherwise. I really couldn't tell you why, I just can't stand them. Probably some forgotten trauma...

Glad I watched My Fair Lady on TCM instead. I couldn't hit the mute button fast enough. And Pat does waaay better at that sort of trickery.

I watched it live last night. Was wondering if they'd actually ride a gas bike on stage - so when i heard the sound of a 2 stroke starting, I was stoked. Then, I saw it was and E-bike with sound dubbed in. Damn that was disappointing.

Lineaway saw it/got it. I didn't know if he was a trials rider anyone knew or not.

Ok was wrong, Electric motion non clutch type. was interesting, did a flip, some hops around Howie. that was all I caught. THanks to whomever posted the vid, now I can watch it all.

I'm glad I saved my old V Rroom motor. Can put it to good use on an E bike.

How well he rides the EM Sport was interesting on it's own. They could have just used music over the e-bike sound if it was too boring. Dubbing the gasser sounds was the gayest thing I've seen in a long time.
