I love watching those Kickstart videos.
Had a fantastic event yesterday I asked a good buddy of mine to take some video with my phone .... forgetting he still has a flip phone...
My buddy Steve at the club tried teaching me this method as one of the first things he taught me. It is surprisingly difficult to get the timing just right. As Jan says, a lot of times people jump and give throttle/let the clutch go too late and end up just wheelieing over the log. I still haven't gotten it right but practice makes perfect and there are a ton of logs in our woods to try it out on.
Perfect practice makes perfect. Any other just instills bad habits.
We have this undercut at our practice area. Of the 5 or so times I've tried it I only got the timing right once. Studying Jan's video before Sunday practice will no doubt help.
a few more videos from last weekend - I have been sanding my hardwood floors all week so a little slow getting to the videos...
Shale can be really tricky you get traction (or not) when you least expect it.
Motocross and woods riders in a trials section at Candytown club fun day. One point for dabs, three for stall or crash. No limit for points. I had to stop videoing to count after these. Best ride was a clean on a well set up KTM enduro bike. Worst was a kid on an 80 motocross bike with about 45 points. I just counted by 5 for most riders. Just some well placed rocks that did them in.
So much sitting down.........
But I will give credit to the gentleman that remarked on the difficulty of the challenge. He was willing to acknowledge it.
Woods riders or guys that own woods bikes and ride? There is a big difference IMO.
I hope you film the rematch at the MX track!
Anybody can go fast.
I love watching the BVM vlogs. I have to say to our friend across the pond, you guys ride some sick, slick, stuff, cheers!
I loved the look on Craig's face @7:51. And Toby Martyn's ride was just sick.
Another Vid from our last event - I did manage to clean this section on lap 3
Not completely trials, but its fun and does include Dabill....
That's pretty much what we ride in Central NY!
