Is it possible to just buy the right side (clutch side) cover for the 701? I broke one of the "ears" of trying to get mine to fit because it was so tight.

701-My order arrived in 2 days! Very fast service! Thanks!
On install on the right side, a quick look gives me the impression that the brake and foot-peg assembly is removed.
    Correct?
    TIA

There’s actually no need to remove anything. On that side, you’ll notice that there is a protrusion at the back. Sneak that between the clutch cover and brake lever into place and then insert its bolt without tightening it. Using force, press the front section over the clutch cover into place and then punch the cover right on all the way. Torque the bolts to factory spec (10nm) and then you’re done. I generally recommend using a bit of grease on inside of the covers to keep water and dirt from entering in. They’re super tight for that reason but the grease helps and also helps install them.

    email sent.
As stated in the email I didn't actually break the ear off but wallowed or deformed the hole so much trying to force the cover on that the screw head now just slips through the hole so that mounting ear is useless. My memory mistake, I just put it on the shelf that day and was going to do something about it later.

I feel it was my fault for forcing so much trying to get the screws in so I am just wanting to buy a new cover.

Edit: reading the post above I see I should have lubed the cover up to help it slip on, it is a really tight fit.

    Alon,
Thanks for the install advice. I erred on my first look and was looking at the wrong bolt. Easy peasy!

I received a replacement for the right side engine cover a couple of days go but just today had the time to fit the new one. It went on with very little effort, couple of good slaps with the palm of my hand and I was able to start both screws that hold it on. I don't think it fit as tight as the first cover I had.

But all is well now thanks to TripleClamps great customer service. And they look good on the bike! :thumbup

    Thanks again!
