Spotted a gratuitous BMW in there...
he’s been mixing it up ever year that I’ve watched the Dakar. Great rider and a tough dude. Sad to see him go.
Tap. Hold. Save pic to camera roll. Go to ADV. Post pic.
Ok I tapped and held then sent to Adv is this better for you
That is some fine artwork!
Congratulations Ricky!!! 2020 Dakar CHAMPION!!!
In other Dakar news. a 19 year old, 5'2", south african girl became the first african woman to finish the Dakar.
Time to raise about $70k and go do it.
On another note, I thought it was odd to see so many riders using those foam grips.^ I think Lyndon had them on his team bikes too.
Saw lots of them torn in the footage from both races. Maybe they work well enough to last a day and reduce some vibes and hand fatigue.
lots and lots of taped up hands & fingers at the Africa ECO race too.
I'd bet the foam grips are good for vibration and long miles. the squishyness probably helps with hand blisters. you see a lot of Pro Grip Rally grips on these bikes too.
I think those are the grips I have. I like them.
They are a bit thicker and softer than your average off-road grip.
I tried them once. They were so big I had trouble holding onto the bike.
Twice. My 450 has them and you rode it.
I've used the 714, but they get clogged up with mud easily. I've been using the 737 since and I like them.
Well if you want to get technical 2 times on the 714 and once on the 737.. First in 2010 at Stillwater on a buddies bike. second in 2015 on my bike, once on your bike.
