    James & Colleen,

Congratulations on your incredible journey, it was great checking in on your ride report during the long, cold DC winter!:clap

Just one complaint... I check into your thread to be entertained, not reminded of work:deal

Wishing the best to both of you,

    .

Do you still have those files? Are they something you can share? Resources like that can be very valuable.

    No I don't.

I believe they are readily available on the interwebs, or Court at Freedom will fix anyone up.

I lost all my GPS data and eventually bought/downloaded Garmin South America and it was great.

Whoo-Hooo our pool is finished. The new concrete is pebble-tech and we opted for black. It's awesome! Come on over for a swim!!!

Our friend Matt McConnell is here from England. He comes over four times a year and we always go on a TAR (Tucker Adventure Ride) for a few days. We'll ride to Laughlin, Nevada, spend the night and then spend a night in Las Vegas. James will take us on the scenic route!
I will take the camera this time and post a few pictures.

You know, since our fabulous adventure to Tierra del Fuego, all rides since don't seem like much. It's all too easy. :lol3

Having said that, I am reminded of a quote I read from Sarah Ella Van Wagenen's e-mail signatures. Sarah died on March 1st. She was amazing! :cry:cry

"Are you then so easily turned from your design? Did you not call this a glorious expedition? And wherefore was it glorious? Not because the way was smooth and placid as a southern sea, but because it was full of dangers and terror; because at every new incident your fortitude was to be called forth and your courage exhibited; because danger and death surrounded it, and these you were to brave and overcome. For this was it a glorious, for this was it an honourable undertaking. - Victor Frankenstein

"What is it that's lost when you cross a border? Each moment seems to be split in two -- Melancholy for what was left behind and on the other hand all the enthusiasm at entering new lands." Che Guevara, Motorcycle Diaries

Still catching up and loving the ride. There's a ton of great info regarding weather, costs and logistics. Thanks so much for taking the time to post everything.
On the seat topic - I once heard you have two options; wait ten years for the foam to break down or eat a double cheeseburger every day.

Two-up and only that much luggage? Where's their rider report so I can find out how they did that?

Yes, we thought the luggage was rather minimal for two!

I can't remember where they were from. Met them again in Ushuaia.

Number one on the 'to do' list checked off, Mike. Next new garage doors coming soon, house painting after that, pour concrete and move the spa after that.....
:lol3 Ahhhh, it goes on and on and on................

But....... more importantly than all of that....... in the morning we are headed out again......

Thee Matt McConnell of Surrey arrived today and he and James put away a serious amount of Guinness........

In the morning we three are headed out to Laughlin, Nevada and the following night we will hit Las Vegas...... James has picked out all of the possible back roads to ride. :ricky

It's been in the 80's here in Claremont..... absolutely beautiful riding weather.:jkam

We rode 200 some miles yesterday. We ran up to Newcomb's.....The
Angeles Forest Highway and the Crest were absolutely glorious! Magnificent mountain views!!!!:clap:clap:

We had an outing this past week with The Spaceman. We rode to Lake Havasu, Arizona, and then on to Laughlin, Nevada and finally to Las Vegas.

The Massive Mojave is always a pleasure to ride. The butterweeds and senna were in bloom and the desert colors are a delight.

We rode along the Colorado River, Lake Mead, The Parker Dam, Lake Havasu, and crossed over Hoover Dam.
