Mostly there are some ups and downs to the various washes, but it isn't that rocky, at least it wasn't 6-7 years ago. Now if I was to continue on past the mine and head West on the gas line headed to 83...that is rocky and a little technical.

I guess I misunderstood, I though you were going from 83 east towards mine, which would be the same as continuing from mine west towards 83.

That's the video I saw that made me think TW instead of GS. Lol.

Finally made it to Total Wreck Mine today. Had company with Carlos. Knocked a little new off Carlos' BMW. Amazingly smooth little motor for a single 310cc.

    Friends,

I might luck out and have time off to make a quick run (leave Tucson Saturday the 22nd early-early, back late Monday) to San Felipe, Baja. Any of you would be most welcome to join.

Plan is to get there, drink, maybe fish if I can figure out how to rent a boat.

Riding the Africa Twin two-up, roughly 8 hours of pavement all the way, nothing crazy. Pemex 91 was available the whole way when I went in March.

PM me/reply below if you're interested.

Total wreck mine on Saturday, was fun, but some hard climbs for me. Slipping all over the place. Ended up dropping bike ~4 times. Bike did great overall. Took a fall on straight section, got too close to the edge of the road, lost front end and it threw me to the side of the road into a bunch of rocks, that's how it got scratched up.

Thanks @HoosierTrailmaster for your help and patience.

Ohh, if you make it to the mine, watch out for bees.

Looks like an amazing place to visit. I wish I could've seen this one before I had to move away from AZ. And HTM is a seriously great trail guide. I've ridden with several different groups from the advrider forums, and he was by far the chillest person.

I live in marana. Just got a KTM 1290 SAR last month. Finally got it all setup how I want it minus the suspension. I’ve ridden street for many years and dirt bikes as a kid. Just getting back into the dirt. Hoping to meet some local folks and have fun out there.

A coupe 1290’s.... nice. Been without my 950’s for too long. Waiting for the 790 to arrive and then I’ll join you guys. Might wait for the heat to leave, but all day riding will be here before we know it.

I saw a 790 in Tucson at the KTM dealer. They said the only got 4 from the factory and they were already spoken for. They look awesome!

Yeah, I’m #4. Mine might be freeing up. 2020 just announced a Rally model based off the R in a limited run with 270mm cone valved suspension, narrower wheels, and a few other goodies. I might “might” wait and see if I can get one (if it comes to the US). Suspect it won’t be cheap.

Dang! That’s one sweet machine. I know a guy looking for a 790 in Tucson if you don’t end up buying it. There a hot commodity right now. I ended up flying out to LA to get my 18 model SAR. ended up saving a ton over a 19
    Model.

Have your friend call AZKKT. It’s official, just gave up my current slot for the #1 slot for the below Rally bike next year... don’t think I’m gonna be able to sleep.

    No moto content...but kinda...

New brewery will be opening in the fall downtown, MotoSonora. They've got a "gear head" vibe, debuted their first IPA, Victory or Death, at Tap and Bottle downtown last night. Excellent. Looking forward to their opening. http://motosonora.com
