Just FYI, Revzilla seems to have really reduced the price of the Michelin Anakee 3 tires...I expect a new A4 will come out shortly. $200 for a set for my GS, I've never paid that little for any tires on that bike. They will go in the garage for mounting later this year.

And just around the corner in Lochiel is a huge cross marking where the first European crossed the border west of the Rockies in 1539! I always stop there and at the old one room school house.

Just up the road from the cross on the way to Washington Camp is a little ridge top that's a great place to stop, have a beer and watch the sunset. It has a view to the east across the entire San Rafael valley to Montezuma Pass and into Mexico. Unfortunately there's a Border Patrol tower right next to it now....

I said "unfortunately" because they took my main parking spot. But you're right fortunately they are there! And there is another parking spot right next to it...

I don't think you would find many reasonable people, regardless of political leaning, opposed the border patrol presence on the border. Or people can just make assumptions based on what the talking heads on their favorite cable TV shows tell them.

Love to seeum along the border, not so much at a checkpoint 100 miles north of the border.

whao sir,,, i dont think there should be borders,,,, i think the world should be one country, with one president and one universal monetary system,, wait scratch that, no money, just go to your government appointed job and you get what you need to live comfortably.

Whoa there...you made an assumption that I can show is not longer viable. We have less and less "reasonable" people and more of the later you mention. Lemmings following their tribal leader no matter how crazy their thoughts, ideas (or lack of) are, which is usually a vailed ploy to gain power through giving "free" stuff to people from people other than themselves.
